The first Carelab X Colgate Little Dentist Course in Hong Kong - Participants will receive prizes (valued at over HKD 200): - A Little Dentist certificate - Colgate children's toothpaste and toothbrush - Photos of children in class - Take Home Kit + morning and evening brushing record sheet - A chance to exchange for small gifts during the last class by spinning a prize wheel Lesson 1: Keeping Tooth Bacteria Away - See terrifying plaque bacteria up close through a microscope - Conduct a D.I.Y. science experiment to witness how plaque erodes teeth - Participate in a brushing skit with the instructor to learn how to brush away bacteria correctly! - Nurses will teach proper brushing techniques one by one Lesson 2: Say NO to Cavities! - The instructor uses medical models to clearly explain tooth structure. - Understand different levels of cavity severity. - Activity-based learning - each little dentist becomes a "floss warrior" to learn proper flossing techniques. Lesson 3: Tooth Care Strategies - How disciplined eating habits affect dental health. - Children will role-play as dentists managing a clinic, experiencing what it's like to treat patients and examine teeth in a medical simulation. In this game, each child will take turns playing various patients seeking treatment, sitting in simulated dental chairs and under dental lights to understand the importance of dental check-ups. Lesson 4: Is Filling Cavities and Losing Teeth Scary? - Watch a skit titled "The Pain of Toothache" - Teach various real dental disease X-ray cases. I- ndividual and group games to understand the purpose, process, and methods of filling cavities. - What is the shedding of teeth? Special care when permanent teeth emerge. - Awards ceremony for brushing twice daily for 22 consecutive days. Upon completing the course, participants will receive: - Carelab X Colgate Little Dentist certificate - Exciting class photos - Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush - Take Home Kit, including nursing strategies and morning/evening brushing record sheets - Brush twice daily for a chance to spin for small gifts! The last 15 minutes of each class is reserved for parents and children to take photos together.
