View ProfileJacky Leung (Jacky Boy) boasts over 20 years of drumming and band experience. He trained under renowned instructors, including Filipino teacher Johnny Boy for pop drums, Mr. Lung Heung-wing, Principal Percussionist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and Fernando Carpio (father of Teresa Carpio) for percussion. In 2003, Jacky completed a short-term music training program at the Cathedral of Praise Bible Music College in the Philippines. In 2004, he earned a distinction in the Trinity Rock School Drum Kit (Grade 6) exam. In 2007, he completed the "Facilitating Human Potential Through Rhythm" training and has been a Hong Kong Facilitator with Kumi at Drum Jam since 2006.
Passionate about musical growth, Jacky has earned certificates including an African Drum Course (2012), an International Dalcroze Workshop (2013), and a Music Therapy Foundation Course (2018). He has taught pop drums, African drums, and percussion at schools like Canaan Creative Education College and Pui To Girls’ School, religious groups such as Hong Kong Pentecostal Seminary and Diamond Hill Baptist Church, and elderly centers like Lutheran Sze Choi Wan Elderly Centre. With extensive performance experience on Hong Kong’s Cable TV, ATV, and TVB, Jacky has also guided students to excel in performances, competitions, and exams. For him, music is a lifelong passion!
